Radiology Technician – Full Time Orthopedic Outpatient Surgery Center

About the role

We are seeking a full-time Radiology Technician to join a busy orthopedic outpatient surgery center. The role involves performing fluoroscopic procedures and providing comprehensive imaging support for patients of all ages.

Key responsibilities

• Perform fluoroscopic and standard X-ray examinations, positioning patients and selecting appropriate anatomical views.
• Prepare patients by explaining procedures, removing obstructive items, and ensuring proper shielding.
• Operate stationary and portable radiologic equipment, develop and process radiographic films, and produce clinical photographs when needed.
• Maintain equipment, monitor radiation safety, and use lead shields or beam limitation to protect patients.
• Keep accurate records, file radiographs, and generate reports as required.
• Assist physicians and provide clerical support within the outpatient surgery department.

Required profile

• Knowledge of modern radiologic equipment, anatomy, and standardized imaging procedures.
• Understanding of radiation hazards and safety precautions.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
• Capability to administer emergency aid and follow detailed instructions.
• Attention to detail in record-keeping and report preparation.
