Brazers – 2nd Shift

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated 2nd‑shift brazier to perform manual brazing and soldering of copper and aluminium components used in heat exchangers, condensers and evaporators. The role is based in our production facility and focuses on delivering high‑quality, leak‑free joints that meet strict specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble coil components (tubes, headers, bends, distributors, fittings) according to work orders and drawings.
• Braise copper tubing and fittings using oxy‑acetylene or induction torches following prescribed procedures.
• Control flame temperature, filler material and heat time to achieve consistent, leak‑free joints.
• Prepare joints by cleaning, aligning and applying flux as required.
• Inspect brazed joints visually and with pressure/leak tests to ensure integrity.
• Identify and repair leaks or weak joints using proper rework techniques.
• Maintain brazing tools and torches, replace tips, clean nozzles and check gas pressures daily.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics and work instructions.
• Handle and stage materials safely, including copper tubing, nitrogen, flux and gases.
• Record production and quality data accurately in logs or ERP systems.

Required profile

• Demonstrated proficiency with oxy‑acetylene torch operation and flame control.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work orders and assembly diagrams.
• Strong hand‑eye coordination and manual dexterity for precision joints.
• Experience using measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, gauges and pressure meters.
• Knowledge of torch maintenance, gas cylinder handling and regulator adjustment.
• Commitment to safety practices involving hot work, open flames and pressurised gases.
• Positive attitude toward teamwork, cross‑training and continuous improvement.
