Group Officer Cyber Security

About the role

The Group Officer Cyber Security supports the Group Manager Technology Assurance & Cyber Security Auditor in delivering independent assurance over the Group's cyber security posture across multiple jurisdictions. The role blends hands‑on technical expertise with data‑driven, AI‑enabled audit techniques.

Key responsibilities

• Execute risk‑based cyber security audits covering networks, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), infrastructure, applications and security controls.
• Perform technical reviews of SOC processes, detection engineering, incident response readiness and threat intelligence operations.
• Conduct cloud security audits, infrastructure security reviews, and application security assessments, including secure SDLC, API security, container and Kubernetes security.
• Carry out vulnerability assessments, review penetration‑testing outputs and evaluate remediation effectiveness.
• Build and maintain data‑analytics routines and automated monitoring tests using SQL, Python, Power BI, Power Automate and ACL, applying AI‑enabled techniques for predictive analytics and anomaly detection.
• Engage with cyber security, IT and business stakeholders, support ad‑hoc investigations and collaborate with broader assurance and forensic teams.

Required profile

• 5‑8 years of experience in cyber security, IT security audit or technology risk, preferably in banking or financial services.
• Strong hands‑on knowledge of SOC processes, SIEM/SOAR platforms, cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP) and infrastructure security.
• Proven ability to translate technical findings into clear assurance insights and to apply data‑analytics and automation in audit work.
