Landside Operations Agent – Lomé

About the role

Maersk is seeking a proactive Landside Operations Agent to join its logistics team in Lomé. You will play a key part in ensuring smooth transportation planning, vendor coordination, and cargo tracking for our customers.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day execution tasks, including transport planning and documentation readiness.
• Update TrakIT/TMS systems on a daily basis.
• Track cargo movements and generate accurate tracking reports.
• Create vendor purchase orders and oversee vendor performance according to demand.
• Collaborate with ICX, Sales, and Procurement teams to reduce churn and accelerate new business conversion.
• Provide timely updates to internal stakeholders and meet customer timeline commitments.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities while maintaining service quality.
• Drive business growth through efficient transportation planning and vendor management.

Required profile

• Strong background in operations with proven experience in landside deliveries and transportation planning.
• High sense of urgency and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Good knowledge of the local market and its logistics requirements.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to turn impacts into business opportunities.
• Excellent reporting abilities and accuracy in delivering information.
• Experience operating in complex environments and coordinating multiple stakeholders.
• Strong communication skills in English, able to interact effectively with colleagues, customers, and vendors.
