Lead Estimator – Construction Projects

About the role

We are looking for a Lead Estimator to drive the estimating and bid development process for construction projects across the US and Africa. The role combines technical estimation expertise with project leadership to ensure accurate, competitive proposals and successful project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare comprehensive cost estimates covering labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors and indirect costs.
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs from drawings, specifications and contract documents.
• Develop conceptual, preliminary and final estimates aligned with project stages.
• Analyze project plans, technical specifications, geotechnical reports and regulatory requirements for pipeline and telecom construction.
• Evaluate construction methodologies, production rates, site conditions and constraints to create realistic budgets and schedules.
• Lead the full bid lifecycle from RFP review to final proposal submission, coordinating schedules and internal reviews.
• Review contract terms and bid documents to identify commercial and operational risks.
• Solicit, evaluate and manage vendor and subcontractor quotations, ensuring scope alignment and pricing accuracy.

Required profile

• Proven experience in construction cost estimation and bid management.
• Strong technical knowledge of telecommunications, fiber optic and network infrastructure construction.
• Detail‑oriented with ability to analyze project plans, specifications and regulatory requirements.
