Operation Head – Solar Business

About the role

The Operation Head – Solar Business will lead operational excellence and project delivery for the organization’s solar portfolio across West Africa. Based in Lomé, the role ensures efficient execution of solar projects, high customer satisfaction, and alignment with global best practices.

Key responsibilities

• Lead overall operational management of solar business activities in West Africa.
• Drive execution and delivery of solar projects within agreed timelines, budgets, quality, and safety standards.
• Manage EPC coordination, commissioning, maintenance, and operational performance of assets.
• Develop and implement operational strategies, governance, SOPs, and performance dashboards.
• Maintain relationships with customers, government authorities, EPC partners, contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with HSE, quality, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
• Build local capabilities through talent development and team leadership.
• Optimize costs, improve productivity, and enhance operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with Finance, Procurement, HR, Legal, and Commercial teams for seamless business execution.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of experience in solar, renewable energy, power generation, EPC, or infrastructure projects.
• Proven track record leading large‑scale utility solar project operations.
• Strong understanding of EPC execution, commissioning, O&M, and HSE compliance.
• Experience working in West Africa or other African markets.
• Leadership, stakeholder management, and commercial acumen.
• Ability to manage multicultural teams in large‑scale operational environments.
• Willingness to relocate to Lomé, Togo.
