Senior Computer Vision AI/ML Engineer (TS/SCI)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Computer Vision AI/ML Engineer to develop and deploy advanced computer‑vision algorithms for remote‑sensing applications such as Automatic Target Recognition and multimodal data fusion of EO and SAR imagery. The role combines research, prototype development and operational deployment in a cloud environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a small interdisciplinary team of developers and researchers to implement AI/ML solutions for remote‑sensing computer‑vision problems.
• Analyze, clean and pre‑process large EO/SAR datasets.
• Research supervised and unsupervised ATR methods and evaluate multimodal data‑fusion performance under varied collection scenarios.
• Train, optimise and deploy deep‑learning CV models (e.g., YOLO, Vision Transformers) that deliver actionable insights to analysts.
• Review state‑of‑the‑art publications, translate concepts for government customers and integrate them into defense and commercial products.
• Produce technical documentation, code comments and user guides.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in machine learning, computer science, computer vision, mathematics or a related field.
• Proven experience leading interdisciplinary research‑software teams and coordinating with program managers to meet project milestones.
• Ability to select, iterate and pivot AI/ML approaches to improve performance.
• Strong written and oral communication skills for technical reporting.

Required skills

• Python programming.
• Machine‑learning frameworks: PyTorch, TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch Lightning, scikit‑learn, scikit‑image, OpenCV.
• Experience with convolutional CV models (YOLOv3‑11, YOLOX) and transformer‑based models (Vision Transformer, Swin).
