Social & Behavior Change Officer (364‑day contract)

About the role

UNICEF is seeking a Social & Behavior Change Officer to design, manage, monitor and evaluate evidence‑based SBC strategies that support immunisation programmes in both development and emergency contexts. The role reports to the Chief of the SBC Section and works closely with sectoral specialists and cross‑sectoral teams.

Key responsibilities

• Generate and use research, data and evidence to shape SBC program design, measurement and monitoring.
• Design, plan and implement SBC activities grounded in social and behavioural evidence.
• Advocate for SBC integration, mobilise resources and coordinate across stakeholders, sectors and teams.
• Build partnerships and support operationalisation of SBC initiatives.
• Promote continuous learning and scaling of SBC through capacity‑building for UNICEF staff and partners.

Required profile

• University degree (Bachelor’s or higher) in sociology, anthropology, communication for development, psychology or a related social‑behavioral science.
• Minimum two years of professional experience in social development programme planning, communication for development, public advocacy or a related field.
• Experience in humanitarian contexts and programme planning.
• Fluency in French.
