Space Applications Expert, Satellite Navigation & Connectivity

About the role

We are seeking a highly qualified Non‑Key Expert to support the Africa‑EU Space Partnership Programme. The expert will work on satellite navigation, GNSS, augmentation systems and satellite connectivity to foster space‑based applications across Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Support activities related to satellite navigation, GNSS and augmentation systems, including SBAS and regional initiatives.
• Assist in the development, promotion and uptake of satellite‑based connectivity and applications for aviation, maritime and broadband services in Africa.
• Coordinate with African and European stakeholders to align technical solutions with policy and investment objectives.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in engineering, telecommunications, aeronautics, geomatics or a related field.
• Minimum eight years of professional experience in satellite navigation, telecommunications or satellite connectivity, with at least four years on GNSS or satellite‑connectivity applications.
• Excellent command of English; working knowledge of French or Portuguese is an asset.
• Demonstrated experience with African navigation and augmentation initiatives is an asset.
