Country Director – Togo & Benin

About the role

The Country Director for Togo and Benin will provide strategic leadership for Christian Blind Mission’s disability and inclusive development programmes across both countries. Based in Lomé, the role ensures high‑quality delivery, strong partnerships and alignment with CBM’s global strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the Country Plan, ensuring alignment with CBM’s Federation strategy.
• Maintain strong financial discipline and oversee operational and financial reporting.
• Identify programme opportunities and demonstrate CBM’s value to stakeholders.
• Represent CBM to donors, government authorities, partners, media and local communities.
• Build and sustain a high‑quality workforce and manage a senior team.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director, Global Programme Development and Implementation.

Required profile

• Relevant academic degree in International Development, Business Administration, Social Sciences or related field.
• Minimum 10 years professional experience, including at least 5 years in senior management within an INGO or international development organisation.
• Proven experience in strategic planning and oversight of complex programmes.
• Demonstrated ability to work with diverse stakeholders and influence development agendas.
