Field Service Access & Transport Liaison

About the role

Mercy Ships is looking for an experienced Field Service Access & Transport Liaison to support its upcoming vessel arrival and field service operations in Togo. The role is a five‑month fixed‑term assignment, requiring the candidate to be on‑site by late October and to coordinate immigration, airport and vehicle logistics for incoming personnel.

Key responsibilities

• Map and implement immigration processes, create checklists and track visa applications for field service staff.
• Develop and coordinate airport access, parking, badge issuance and VIP movement procedures.
• Manage vehicle registration, licensing, insurance and arrange additional transport providers as needed.
• Engage with government authorities, embassies and local service providers to secure necessary permissions.
• Maintain readiness trackers, produce SOPs and ensure handover of processes to long‑term owners.

Required profile

• Strong operational planning, logistics and process‑mapping abilities.
• Proven experience working with immigration authorities, airports or transport providers.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and cross‑functional coordination skills.
• International or humanitarian experience, preferably with Mercy Ships.
• Fluency in English and French; Portuguese a plus.
