Health Regulatory Liaison

About the role

The Health Regulatory Liaison leads coordination of health and regulatory activities required for Mercy Ships field service readiness in Togo, translating technical requirements into the local context and ensuring compliance with national regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead planning and coordination of health and regulatory readiness, including medical licensing, professional registration and credentialing.
• Coordinate pharmaceutical import permissions, laboratory, pharmacy and radiology support services, and medical evacuation preparedness.
• Manage day‑crew health screening logistics, provider selection and documentation.
• Serve as the primary technical liaison with health regulators, professional councils and healthcare facilities, escalating senior‑level engagements as needed.
• Maintain readiness plans, track milestones, document regulatory processes and provide handover to operational teams.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of healthcare operations, regulation and clinical service delivery.
• Proven stakeholder engagement, planning and project‑management abilities.
• Experience working with healthcare regulators, licensing bodies and government health authorities.
• Ability to work in international, cross‑cultural environments and travel extensively.
• Fluent in English and French; Portuguese desirable.
