Intern, Data Analyst (DSAI)

About the role

SLA offers a hands-on internship for students interested in how data supports decision-making and operational excellence in a government environment. Interns work with cross-functional teams on data reconciliation, analytics and business intelligence initiatives, contributing to SLA's data and digital transformation efforts.

Key responsibilities

• Data reconciliation and quality: reconcile datasets across systems and sources, investigate discrepancies, run data quality checks and document issues and resolutions.
• Data analytics and insights: analyse datasets to surface trends and patterns, prepare data outputs and summaries for internal stakeholders, and document analytical approaches and outcomes.
• Business intelligence and reporting: help build and maintain dashboards and reports, turn business requirements into visualisations, and ensure reports are accurate, timely and accessible.
• Project coordination and documentation: track tasks, deliverables and milestones, coordinate inputs across data, business and technical teams, and prepare documentation for project discussions.

Required profile

• Student pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Engineering or a related field.
• Understanding of how data quality and integrity affect analytical outcomes, with clear communication and structured documentation.
• Previous coursework, projects or internships in data, analytics or business intelligence are advantageous.
• Able to commit full time for at least 3 to 6 months during one of the periods: October 2026 to March 2027, November 2026 to April 2027 or November 2026 to May 2027; availability should be stated in the CV.
