Project Director – Rural Water Infrastructure (Togo)

About the role

We are seeking a senior professional to lead the implementation of a major rural water infrastructure programme in Togo. The Project Director will act as the company’s top representative on‑site, overseeing the design, construction, operation and maintenance of water supply systems that will serve rural communities across the country.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the full project life‑cycle from planning through delivery, ensuring adherence to budget, schedule and quality standards.
• Build, manage and mentor a local multidisciplinary project team.
• Serve as the primary liaison with local authorities, partners, suppliers and other stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with Togolese regulations, industry standards and company governance.
• Monitor progress, report performance, risks and milestones to headquarters and implement corrective actions when needed.
• Develop and expand strategic relationships with public and private sector entities.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience managing infrastructure, water, energy or utility projects.
• Proven experience leading multi‑stakeholder infrastructure initiatives in West Africa, preferably Togo or neighboring francophone countries.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Electrical, Energy or related engineering discipline.
• Professional fluency in English and French.
• Willingness to work on a rotational schedule (2 months in Togo, 2 weeks at home base).
