Risk Analyst – Remote

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Risk Analyst to join our global team. In this remote position you will identify, assess, and mitigate operational, financial, regulatory, and reputational risks that could affect our performance.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor platform data to detect emerging threats such as payment fraud, account takeovers, spam, phishing, and synthetic identity networks.
• Query large datasets using SQL, Python, or similar tools to uncover attack vectors and quantify abusive behavior.
• Design and implement rules, models, and workflows that prevent fraudulent or high‑risk activity while preserving user experience.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Finance, and Legal to embed risk controls throughout the product lifecycle.
• Act as a primary responder during large‑scale fraud spikes or other active risk events, making rapid decisions to limit loss.
• Build dashboards and reports to track key risk indicators and communicate findings to leadership.
• Provide feedback on internal risk tools and help integrate third‑party risk intelligence vendors.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in risk analysis, fraud intelligence, trust & safety, or financial crime investigations within tech, e‑commerce, or fintech.
• Strong ability to translate raw data into actionable insights and present technical findings to non‑technical stakeholders.
• Familiarity with global compliance frameworks such as AML, KYC, GDPR, or PSD2.
• Proactive curiosity and capacity to lead cross‑functional initiatives in a fast‑paced environment.
