Senior Accountant

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to lead our accounting function. The role will ensure accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls and compliance with local regulations while supporting strategic decision‑making across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily accounting activities including AP, AR, general ledger, bank reconciliations and payroll.
• Oversee month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end close processes to meet reporting deadlines.
• Prepare, review and analyse financial statements in accordance with IFRS/GAAP or local standards.
• Implement and monitor accounting policies, internal procedures and robust internal controls.
• Coordinate internal and external audits, preparing schedules and responding to inquiries.
• Manage statutory tax filings and ensure compliance with local tax laws.
• Provide financial insights for budgeting, forecasting and strategic initiatives.
• Lead, mentor and develop a team of accountants, fostering a culture of accountability.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• CPA, ACCA or equivalent professional certification.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and organizational abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAGE, SAP or Oracle.
• Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
