About the role
The Health Record Scanner (PRN) supports the clinic by converting paper health records into electronic format, ensuring that patient information is accurate, legible, and readily available within the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
Key responsibilities
- Scan paper health records into the EHR following established guidelines.
- Perform qualitative and quantitative checks on scanned images to maintain accuracy and legibility.
- Collaborate with clinic staff, supervisors, and clinical teams to develop compliant scanning routines.
- Maintain flexibility in work schedules to meet short‑timeframe demands.
- Identify problems, propose solutions, and prioritize tasks under pressure.
Required profile
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum two years of experience handling health records in a healthcare setting.
- Strong knowledge of patient health information handling and HIPAA compliance.
- Organized, self‑directed, and able to follow confidentiality and security policies.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
- Operation of document scanning equipment.
