Partnerships Officer (UN Resident Coordination Office)

About the role

The United Nations Resident Coordination Office in Lome is seeking a Partnerships Officer to support the development and implementation of strategic, non‑monetary partnerships that advance the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The role reports to the Senior Development Coordination Officer and works closely with the Resident Coordinator and the UN Country Team.

Key responsibilities

• Provide advice on the development and implementation of the UN Partnership Strategy in line with the Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework.
• Support a UNCT working group or similar platform to monitor, assess and adjust the partnership strategy as new opportunities arise.
• Coordinate with UN entities at country, regional and headquarters levels to create value propositions for local partnerships.
• Liaise with civil society, private sector and other non‑traditional partners to foster collaborative initiatives.
• Track and report on partnership performance, ensuring alignment with SDG targets.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in development coordination or partnership management within an international or UN context.
• Strong understanding of the UN development system and the 2030 Agenda.
• Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
