Registered Nurse – Pre‑Op & Recovery

About the role

We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our same‑day surgery center, providing pre‑operative and recovery care. The RN will be responsible for delivering safe, high‑quality nursing services to patients throughout their surgical experience.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in nursing care for patients in a same‑day surgery setting, following physician orders and center policies.
• Monitor and control the use and charging of supplies utilized in the center.
• Assess, develop, and implement comprehensive nursing care plans for post‑operative patients.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered, accurately document administration, and manage charge sheets.
• Provide pain and nausea assessment, discharge patients according to policy, and offer psychological support.
• Maintain patient and employee confidentiality and coordinate with physicians and ancillary departments.
• Perform routine supply management, maintain a clean work environment, and function independently in emergency situations.
• Assist in orientation of new employees and act as a resource for departmental policies.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school with a current Registered Nurse license.
• Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Ability to assess patient conditions, make quick logical decisions, and maintain competence through continuing education.
• Commitment to privacy, confidentiality, and professional rapport with patients, families, and staff.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Medication administration and documentation.
• Patient assessment and pain management.
• Charge sheet verification and supply management.
• Emergency response and decision‑making.
