Steel Business Manager

About the role

The Steel Business Manager will lead the sales function for our steel division, driving growth and profitability across the market. Reporting to senior leadership, the role combines strategic planning, customer relationship management, and cross‑functional coordination to ensure seamless order fulfillment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute sales strategies to meet steel business targets.
• Manage key customers, distributors, and business partners.
• Identify new market opportunities and acquire new customers.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and steel pricing.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and commercial terms.
• Coordinate with procurement, logistics, warehouse, and finance teams for order fulfillment.
• Prepare sales forecasts, business reports, and performance analyses.
• Lead and motivate the sales team to achieve objectives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in steel, metals, construction materials, or related industries.
• Proven track record in sales, business development, and customer relationship management.
• Strong knowledge of the steel market, products, and pricing.
• Fluent in French and English with excellent communication skills.
• Strong negotiation, leadership, and business acumen.
• Analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Willingness to work in Togo and ability to work independently.
