Content Moderator (Trust & Safety Specialist)

About the role

The Content Moderator (Trust & Safety Specialist) ensures that user‑generated content on the platform complies with policies, legal standards, and community expectations. Working remotely, you will review text, images, and videos, focusing on high‑priority and edge‑case items that require human judgment.

Key responsibilities

• Review and act on reported content, maintaining a 95%+ accuracy rate.
• Monitor daily queues to detect new abuse patterns and escalate to the Policy team.
• Provide feedback on moderation tool efficiency and suggest workflow improvements.
• Participate in calibration sessions to ensure consistent policy application.
• Investigate removal or suspension cases and make fair reinstatement decisions.
• Respond to “red alert” situations such as graphic live streams or coordinated harassment campaigns.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in content moderation, trust & safety, or community management for a major tech/social media platform.
• High emotional resilience and ability to review disturbing content without loss of focus.
• Deep understanding of regional cultural nuances and the ability to differentiate hate speech from protected speech.
• Proven track record of processing 80‑100+ content pieces per hour while maintaining quality metrics.

Required skills

• Experience with moderation tools such as Hive, Besedo, and Salesforce.
• Proficiency in Google Workspace.
