Estimator & Construction Project Lead

About the role

MilleNext Group is looking for an experienced Estimator & Construction Project Lead to drive estimating, bid development, and pre‑construction planning for telecom and infrastructure projects across the United States and Africa. The role blends technical estimating expertise with project leadership in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed, competitive cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors and indirect costs.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and analyze engineering drawings, specifications and contract documents.
• Lead the full bid lifecycle: RFP/RFQ review, proposal preparation, pricing strategy and final submission.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, operations and project management to validate schedules, productivity and assumptions.
• Assess project risks, site conditions and construction methods to improve profitability.
• Build and maintain relationships with subcontractors, suppliers and industry partners.
• Support pre‑construction handoff meetings and ensure smooth project execution.
• Mentor junior estimators and enforce best‑practice estimating standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 + years of experience in construction or heavy‑civil/infrastructure estimating.
• At least 5 + years of direct experience in telecommunications construction, fiber optics or network infrastructure.
• Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
