Group Manager – Audit Automation in Operations, Transformation & CX

About the role

The Group Manager – Audit Automation will lead the transformation of internal audit into a technology‑enabled, intelligence‑driven assurance function. Reporting to the Group Lead Operations, Transformation and CX Audits, the role focuses on embedding automation, advanced analytics and AI across Operations, Customer Experience and Transformation domains.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the Audit Automation and AI strategy aligned with Group Internal Audit priorities.
• Design and implement automated audit testing approaches for operational processes, customer journeys and transformation initiatives.
• Develop continuous auditing and data‑driven monitoring of key risk indicators.
• Build AI‑enabled audit tools, workflows and Large Language Model (LLM) applications to support audit execution and insight generation.
• Leverage data from operational systems, digital platforms and customer channels to enable scalable, real‑time assurance.
• Drive adoption of advanced audit techniques such as data analytics, data engineering and intelligent automation across planning, execution, reporting and issue tracking.
• Provide independent assurance over automation, digital and AI‑enabled business processes, ensuring compliance with governance, risk and regulatory requirements.

• Strong innovation mindset with proven experience in leading automation and AI initiatives.
• Deep analytical capability to identify control risks, operational inefficiencies and execution gaps.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with business and technology stakeholders across the Group.
• Experience in designing and deploying continuous auditing and AI‑enabled audit solutions.
