About the role
The Learning Support Assistant works full‑time on‑site at The British School of Lome, supporting teachers in delivering lessons and providing additional help to students who need it.
Key responsibilities
- Assist teachers with classroom activities and lesson delivery.
- Provide one‑to‑one or small‑group support to students requiring extra help.
- Prepare learning materials and monitor student progress.
- Promote positive behaviour and engagement among learners.
- Collaborate with staff to implement individualized learning strategies.
Required profile
- Experience or training in an educational or child‑centred environment.
- Commitment to safeguarding and student well‑being.
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Cultural sensitivity and ability to adapt to diverse learning needs.
Required skills
- Assistant teaching skills for supporting lesson delivery.
- Knowledge of safeguarding practices for children.
