LPN Pre-Admission Testing PRN

About the role

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will provide pre‑admission testing services on an as‑needed (PRN) basis. Working closely with physicians and patients, the LPN conducts telephone triage, administers medications, and delivers education to ensure a smooth admission process.

Key responsibilities

• Perform telephone triage to assess patient needs and prioritize care.
• Administer medications, including injections, and accurately document all medication orders.
• Identify and address patient and family education needs, providing clear instructions.
• Recognize and respond appropriately to emergency situations.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the patient’s medical record in accordance with nursing policies.
• Facilitate patient flow within the physician’s office to preserve operational integrity.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program.
• Active state Practical Nursing license.
• One year of experience in a health‑care setting preferred.
• Current CPR certification.
