Materials Manager / Surgical Tech

About the role

We are seeking a Materials Manager who will also serve as a Surgical Technologist to ensure seamless daily operations of our surgery center. This dual‑role combines inventory oversight with hands‑on support in the operating room.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain supplies, equipment, and materials needed for surgical procedures.
• Supervise ordering, receiving, and payment processing of requisitions and purchase orders.
• Manage automated systems that support materials management functions.
• Coordinate physical inventory and produce mandatory bi‑annual reports.
• Identify savings opportunities, conduct product evaluations, and perform cost analyses with physicians.
• Prepare and maintain medical equipment for surgeries, set up sterile instruments, and assist the surgical team.
• Operate sterilizers, lights, suction machines, and other diagnostic equipment.
• Clean, restock, and transition patients post‑operation.

Required profile

• Three years of experience as a scrub technician in an operating room (preferred).
• Knowledge of all phases of materials management and ability to assist with department budgeting.
• Experience as a buyer or senior buyer in medical materials management (preferred).
• Strong organizational abilities.
