Project Manager, African Office

About the role

We are looking for a Project Manager to join our international team in Lomé, Togo. You will oversee a portfolio of climate science and policy projects, guiding them from conception through delivery and closure.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full project lifecycle, ensuring delivery within time, cost, quality, scope, and risk tolerances.
• Support development of funding proposals, budgets, and basic research tools in collaboration with fundraising and content specialists.
• Maintain contract compliance, track deliverables, and handle partner agreements, disbursements, and reporting.
• Develop and update implementation plans, milestone trackers, and resource allocations.
• Facilitate meetings, webinars, and stakeholder consultations, preparing agendas and documentation.
• Identify risks early, propose mitigation measures, and ensure adherence to organisational policies and audit requirements.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing complex projects, preferably in climate, environmental or policy sectors.
• Strong understanding of funding proposal processes, budgeting, and contract management.
• Ability to coordinate with diverse partners, stakeholders, and internal teams.
• Excellent organisational and risk‑management skills.
