Senior Systems Engineer – Agile AI/ML Software

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to join ARKA’s mission‑critical software and AI/ML product development program. Embedded in an Agile delivery team, you will bridge user needs, system architecture, and software implementation to transition advanced capabilities into operational use.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze stakeholder intent and user workflows to define requirements, features, and user stories.
• Act as a user proxy by executing and evaluating prototype capabilities, AI/ML outputs, and UI/UX implementations.
• Collaborate with product owners, software engineers, data scientists, ML engineers, UX designers, and test teams to support continuous integration, verification, and validation.
• Support UI/UX concept development, including wireframes and mockups, to inform user‑centered design.
• Contribute to automated test strategy, define verification criteria, and assist with test implementation.
• Provide system and software architecture guidance and maintain design and interface documentation.

Required profile

• Senior‑level systems engineer with a TS/SCI clearance and CI polygraph eligibility.
• Curious, adaptable, and self‑directed, thriving in modern software‑centric, AI/ML product teams.
• Experience working in Agile environments and delivering complex software solutions.
