Intake Specialist I

About the role

The Intake Specialist I supports the PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) enrollment process at AltaMed. Working closely with Enrollment Development Specialists, the role bridges marketing and operations to grow program membership while ensuring a smooth participant experience.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate enrollment of potential PACE participants and manage their records.
• Collaborate with Marketing and Operations teams to generate and track leads.
• Use the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to monitor leads, update status reports, and document enrollment progress.
• Conduct outreach activities, identify new referral sources, and promote enrollment internally.
• Explain program services, upsell appropriate options, and support participant retention.
• Maintain compliance with state, federal, and company regulations.

Required profile

• Associate’s degree in healthcare, Business Administration, nursing, or related field, or at least two years of healthcare experience.
• Current valid BLS certification.
• Minimum one year of experience working with elderly individuals and their families.
• Marketing or sales experience preferred.
• Bilingual in Cantonese, Mandarin, Vietnamese, Spanish, or English.

Required skills

• Proficiency with a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
