Radiology Technician PRN

About the role

The Radiology Technician (PRN) provides fluoroscopic and X‑ray imaging services for patients of all ages in an outpatient surgery setting. Working under the supervision of a physician or chief of the medical facility, the technician ensures high‑quality diagnostic images while maintaining patient safety.

Key responsibilities

• Perform fluoroscopic procedures and standard radiographic examinations following professional radiology standards.
• Prepare and position patients, explain procedures, remove obstructive items, and apply appropriate radiation shielding.
• Operate stationary and portable radiologic equipment to capture diagnostic images.
• Develop, process, and archive X‑ray films, including preparing processing solutions and making copies.
• Assist with clinical photography of unusual cases and maintain equipment and work areas.
• Monitor patients during procedures and ensure compliance with radiation safety protocols.
• Maintain accurate records, files, and reports related to imaging activities.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current certification as a Radiologic Technologist.
• Knowledge of modern radiologic equipment, anatomy, and standardized imaging procedures.
• Understanding of radiologic hazards and safety precautions.
• Ability to follow directions, analyze situations, and communicate effectively.
