Research Analyst Intern – Hybrid (Lomé, Togo)

About the role

Forge4Africa is seeking a motivated Research Analyst Intern to support its mission of empowering African youth through technology, entrepreneurship, and policy. Working in a hybrid setting, you will help identify emerging trends, gather data, and produce insights that shape our programs and partnerships.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct research on technology, entrepreneurship, innovation, climate action, education, and public policy.
• Identify scholarships, grants, fellowships, competitions, and funding opportunities for African youth.
• Research potential partners across organizations, companies, governments, and institutions.
• Analyze industry trends and prepare concise research briefs and reports.
• Gather and interpret qualitative and quantitative data for proposals, presentations, and strategic documents.
• Monitor emerging technologies, innovation ecosystems, and startup trends across Africa.
• Assist with impact measurement, program evaluation, and presentation of findings to internal teams.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Public Policy, International Relations, Computer Science, Business, Statistics, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or a related field.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and written communication skills in English.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and demonstrate a passion for youth development and African growth.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace.
• Familiarity with AI research tools.
• Experience with productivity platforms.
• Basic data analysis and data visualization abilities.
