About the role

GovRise, an early‑stage non‑profit based in Lomé, Togo, is seeking a passionate AI‑powered cross‑platform app developer to join its collaborative team on a pro‑bono basis. The role involves designing, building, and maintaining a high‑quality application that supports refugee family reunification initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement new user interfaces and features powered by AI.
• Write clean, readable, and testable code with automated unit and integration tests.
• Ensure optimal performance and an excellent user experience across devices.
• Identify and fix bugs and performance issues.
• Contribute to back‑end development and design tasks.
• Populate the app with country‑specific information related to refugees.
• Collaborate with the team to deliver well‑architected, high‑quality solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
• Strong interest in refugee protection and sustainable solutions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and in a team‑oriented environment.
