Health Regulatory Liaison – Togo

About the role

Mercy Ships is seeking an experienced Health & Regulatory Liaison to lead health‑regulatory readiness for its field service in Togo. The role translates technical requirements into the local context and coordinates delivery with government, professional councils and health facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate health and regulatory readiness activities, including medical licensing, professional registration and credentialing.
• Map and manage pharmaceutical import permissions, laboratory, pharmacy and radiology support services.
• Coordinate medical evacuation readiness, infectious disease preparedness and day‑crew health screening processes.
• Serve as the primary technical liaison with health regulators, professional councils and healthcare facilities, escalating senior‑level engagements to the Country Director.
• Maintain readiness plans, track milestones, document regulatory processes and provide a structured handover to operational teams.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of healthcare operations, regulation and clinical service delivery.
• Proven stakeholder engagement, planning and project‑management abilities.
• Experience mapping complex regulatory processes and translating them into actionable steps.
• Demonstrated ability to work across multiple functions within a country‑led stakeholder model.
• Fluent in English and French; Portuguese a plus.
• Significant experience in healthcare operations, hospital administration, public health or related fields, preferably in international or humanitarian settings.
