About the role
The Restorative Aide works under the direction of the Compliance Officer to provide restorative nursing services that help residents adapt to more independent living, following Douglas County Health Center policies and applicable laws.
Key responsibilities
- Assist patients/residents with activities of daily living, personal hygiene, and related needs.
- Monitor and report resident responses to restorative nursing, including changes in condition.
- Document vital signs, ADL care, dietary intake, and other required information.
- Provide teaching on assistive devices and encourage participation in restorative programs.
- Maintain a safe, sanitary environment and adhere to infection control protocols.
Required profile
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of an accredited Certified Nursing Assistant course.
- At least one year of experience as a nursing assistant in a healthcare setting.
- Current BLS/CPR certification (or obtained within six months of hire).
- Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lb and meet physical demands of the role.
Required skills
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) qualification.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification.
- Experience with Electronic Health Records.
