Policy Committee Member – AI Ethics & Skills (Pro Bono)

About the role

SkillOunce is seeking passionate individuals to join its Policy Committee on a pro‑bono basis. The committee will guide the organization’s approach to AI, digital public infrastructure, and the ethical use of skills as a core value in a rapidly evolving technological landscape.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in monthly Policy Committee meetings and occasional AI & Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) sessions.
• Contribute interdisciplinary insights that blend design engineering, law, ethics, economics, and finance.
• Develop practical, climate‑conscious policy recommendations that prioritize human talent over purely monetary metrics.
• Support the organization’s sustainability by offering voluntary financial contributions when possible.

Required profile

• Strong multidisciplinary background with the ability to translate concepts across domains.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and agility in collaborative environments.
• Commitment to at least three hours per week and attendance at monthly meetings.
• Willingness to support the non‑profit’s operations financially according to personal capacity.

Required skills

• Understanding of design engineering methods.
• Knowledge of law, ethics, economics, and finance as they relate to AI.
• Ability to integrate artistic and scientific perspectives in problem‑solving.
