Transport Expert – Global Gateway Talent Pool

About the role
NTU International A/S is building a talent pool of experienced transport professionals to support the Global Gateway Transport and Urban Facility 2 project. Selected experts will be mobilised for short‑term technical assistance assignments worldwide, focusing on Sub‑Saharan Africa, Latin America, the Caribbean, and Asia‑Pacific.
Key responsibilities
- Identify, prepare, appraise and implement transport and connectivity projects.
- Conduct prefeasibility and feasibility studies, technical assessments, and economic and financial analyses.
- Support transport infrastructure planning, design, rehabilitation, modernisation and investment planning.
- Assist public authorities in developing policies, strategies, regulatory frameworks and sector reform programmes.
- Prepare transport investment pipelines aligned with Global Gateway and European Green Deal priorities.
- Advise on sustainable, low‑carbon, smart, safe, resilient and inclusive transport solutions.
- Promote multimodal transport, logistics connectivity and integration between different transport modes.
- Assess investment climates and identify opportunities for public‑private participation, including PPPs.
- Support procurement, tendering, contract management, implementation supervision, and O&M planning.
- Facilitate coordination among public authorities, EU delegations, IFIs, infrastructure operators, private sector stakeholders and development partners.
Required profile
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in transport, infrastructure, mobility, logistics, connectivity or related sectors.
- Demonstrated expertise in at least one of the following areas: road and highway infrastructure, rail, maritime, aviation, urban mobility, logistics, or transport policy.
- Experience working with international donors, development agencies or public‑sector clients is preferred.
